The release where the app stopped lying about how much it could see.

#What It Does

#Search finds everything you own

This is the big one. Searching your inventory on the phone used to look only at your most recently added items — around 200 of them — and then, if it found nothing, suggest you open each folder and search inside it one at a time.

It never said it was doing that. It just quietly returned "no results" for something you definitely own.

Search now asks the server, which can see all of it. Type a word and you get every match across your whole inventory, however large. The notice about only having covered your most recent items is gone, because it is no longer true.

#Documents search reads the documents

Document search used to match on titles. Now it reads the body text too — so the word you half-remember from the middle of a receipt or a manual will actually find it.

Underneath the exact matches you'll see a "More by meaning" section. That's for when you can't recall the wording at all: describe roughly what the document was about and it will surface close matches by sense rather than by exact words.

#Big collections behave properly

• Lists keep loading past a few hundred items, in the order you sorted them by — no stalling, no repeated rows, no spinner that never ends.
• Deleting a run of items now rings one notification instead of one per item.
• Deleting the item at the boundary of a page no longer causes the next page to skip or repeat.

#Shared records you can actually read

• A record someone shared with you opens with its full detail, not an empty wrapper.
• It names the person who shared it.
• It shows the folder you filed it into, so you can find it again the way you think about it.
• If they gave you edit access, editing now works on the phone.
• Shared content is ranked alongside your own results rather than pushed below them.

#Your beacons tell you when the battery is flat

Beacon battery readings had been recorded for months and displayed nowhere at all — which meant a dead beacon was indistinguishable from a weak signal or a bug in the app.

Battery level is now visible everywhere you look at a beacon or tag. And when a reading genuinely isn't available, the app tells you why and what to do about it, instead of showing a blank space.

#Claude Fable 5.1

Claude Fable 5.1 replaces Claude Fable 5 in the model picker.

#When something fails, it says so

The quiet fix that matters most. If your chat history failed to load, the app used to show you the same empty screen it shows someone with no history at all — so a network blip looked exactly like losing everything you'd ever asked.

A failure now says it's a failure. Same for a page style that can't load: it tells you, rather than drawing nothing.

#How to Use It

• Search inventory: the search box at the top of What I've Got. Just type — there's nothing to turn on.
• Search documents: the search box in Documents. Exact matches come first; scroll a little for More by meaning.
• Check a beacon's battery: Settings → Manage Registry, or Browse Registry. The battery reads on the row.
• Switch model: the model selector in chat → Claude Fable 5.1.

#Tips & Tricks

• If you can't remember a document's title at all, describe what it was about and look at More by meaning — that section exists precisely for the search you can't phrase.
• Doing a big clear-out? Multi-select and delete as a batch. It's one request and one notification, and it is noticeably faster than deleting one at a time.
• A beacon showing a battery reading with "(stale)" is telling you it reported once and has since gone quiet — which usually means flat, not missing.

#Known Limitations

• Category counts still refresh on every delete. On a very large collection, a long run of deletes can feel slow for that reason. Being worked on.
• Expired shares stay in your library. A share that has passed its expiry still appears and opens onto nothing. Being worked on.
• Some shares show the recipient as "Someone". Shares made by grant don't always resolve the person's name yet.
• Beacon temperature has nowhere to go. A fixed beacon broadcasts a temperature reading, but there's no place in the app that shows it yet.
